3 DAYS

....It's been a long pause from watching movies in my weekend routine. Until that day my friend ask me to go for movies and have dinner together. I'm not really into movie update lately. So he decide...

3 Days to Kill

This movie is about a man who worked for CIA, but he also a husband of a working wife and a father of a daughter. Because of a rare disease, he decided to leave his jobs and come back to his private life. He moves to Paris to visit his daughter, fix everything after he left his family 5 years ago. Until one day, an agent named Vivi come to him, offer him an experimental medicine to cure his cancer, at least to extend his life that was only 3 days left. In return he has to kill some bad guy in city.

Actually, I'm not really pay attention to his killing and shooting scenes. I don't know what kind of bad guy he has to kill either. But I remember the words Vivi said, "Because you're dying. So you're not afraid of everything". A kind of make sense, right?

The other thing is his principle that he won't kill someone if he's not a 100% sure whether that one has nothing left to explain and been confirmed as a suspect. I really think this one as a reminder that we have to know the purpose and the consequence of whatever we choose, whatever we do. No excuses.

To be honest the most thing that caught my eye from this movies is the father-daughter relationship. How does the father fight to get his daughter attention, try to get closer to her day by day. Zoey, his daughter named, said that she didn't have a father to teach her riding bike. Ha! That scene was really hit me so hard. When I was in elementary school, I still remember my mom said that my father won't be available to teach me how to swim, how to ride a bike, and probably won't be able to teach me anything like that, so I have to learn by my self.

When Zoey dance with his father, I don't think that's gonna happen to me. Never ever. But that's sweet. Laughing together in dining room without hiding lies and anger is a nice dream. But well, that's life.

That's all I remember from this movie.

3 days or more can be hard and long enough to spend with someone that really feels like stranger to you. Include family. Changes comes unpredictable, so adaptation takes forever.
